Slide Guitar
Thank you for stopping by. I have been studying bottleneck slide guitar of mainly early American Country Blues and have had the privilege of skype tuition with Michael Messer, one of the foremost slide guitarists in the UK for several of those and have also had digital tuition from American instructors notably John Miller among them. I returned to playing guitar after a 30-year absence which was due to the focus on my illustration business . Since retirement I've been mainly playing primarily in open tunings and have attempted the music of Mississippi Fred Mcdowell, Muddy Waters, Blind Willie Johnson, Barbecue Bob, Sylvester Weaver, Black Ace, Tampa Red, Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Robert Wilkins, Jessie May Hemphill, Ranie Burnette. If you click the photo above it will take you to a youtube channel with a videos and below are acoustic slide samples and a gallery of some of my acoustic, electric guitars and resonators. https://www.youtube.com/user/studio249.
My very best.

I've sold some and added several others since I posted this. Acquired several with the modern x-bracing like Breedlove, Art and Lutherie and Recording King I used for "Lay My Burden Down." Most of the earlier catalogue models like Supertone, Stella, Silvertone and Kay are ladder braced Those I picked up awhile back on Ebay and fixed lifting tops, replaced tuners, nuts and saddles, touched up bindings when necessary. These days I usually play through a Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 15 watt amp has been using a Lawrence A300 pickup and sometimes use a L.R.Baggs PARAcoustic D.I.
